More than giving
Supporting future success through local training

1.
Training
Since 2005, CHP has trained 20 Guatemalan audiology professionals.
Annual teams from the U.S. support local providers, enabling them to offer newborn hearing screenings and comprehensive diagnostics.
Over 2,000 children have received hearing aids and ongoing care thanks to these efforts.

2.
Diagnostic
Through generous donations from Mill Creek Rotary, Rotary District grants and Ellen Haggerty, a Pleasant Valley New York Rotarian, eight locations in Guatemala have been equipped with advanced audiology equipment.
Local providers can now send ear canal images and test results to U.S. physicians for rapid evaluation.
Children receive next-day consults and care from trained Guatemalan team members.

3.
Hearing Aid Care
More than 2,000 children have been fit with hearing aids.
Guatemalan team members now manage consultations, fittings, and follow-up care.
Eight team members have started their own businesses, providing sustainable services to adults in their communities.
